Red Ear are very skittish when bedding and feeding shallow and adjusting to that gets more bites
People think red ear are line shy. That’s not been the case in my experience as I have caught a ton of red ears the last two years on straight braid. I do know they are very skittish to sound and movement. Certainly they are more leery of that than your line size or color. They also get riled up and stop biting when that happens. These behaviors are what you need to adjust your fishing around.
