Why I am Building This Newsletter

I have been creating fishing content and teaching people how to fish for more than two decades with my time at FLW and Wired2fish. I have thousands of connections across the entire recreational fishing industry and can bring a ton of insider information and real on-the-water experiences to bear. I am committed to helping you become a very good angler while also entertaining you with fishing adventures and learnings as we go.

That might sound like fluff and what everyone else is doing, but I’ve identified an underlying problem with fishing content that a good portion of it is overgeneralized fluff or it’s been made so complicated that it’s out of reach for many anglers. I want to provide maximum value for a few bucks to anglers who really want to see a lot of behind the scenes information from biology, to tackle design, to systems for catching fish consistently in all 4 seasons. Whether you bank fish, kayak fish, wade fish, boat fish or fly fish, this will be a valuable resource for anglers who just want to be good at all fishing pursuits.

I also feel like there is a tremendous under-served community of panfish anglers and small water anglers who just want to consistently catch fish regardless of season or location. I want to focus on serving anglers who want to get better at finding their own fish and finding better quality fish. And I believe I can help in a big and meaningful way. Whether that’s bluegill, crappie, shellcrackers, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass or other species like trout, I will cover a ton of ground on locations, gear, repeating seasonal habits, and how to get on fish quicker and more consistently.

Best Fishing Content Available

My goal is to turn this into the absolute best fishing information you will find anywhere. It will be sourced through a lot of other very good anglers, biologists, talented industry folks along with real world experiences and lots of trips all over the country.

I will share the processes of finding fish and patterning their locations and behaviors from season to season. I am building an ad free experience for the reader where we can be honest about the very best things that work from season to season and situation to situation without having to force us in one direction or cater to anyone that doesn’t focus on helping you be more successful in your own angling pursuits.

I really want you to be part of this new kind of fishing insider newsletter where we share common interests and insights around making everyone better anglers. I have spent years documenting and experimenting with fish behavior, locations, habitats, migrations, changing diets and bounced this information off of knowledgable fisheries experts and other longtime anglers to source the best information that has been proven not only from years of fishing but also with realtime sonar, underwater cameras and drones where we can actually study and watch the fish.

If this sounds good to you, I’d love to have you sign-up, and join in on something we’re building for better anglers everywhere.
