Jason, can these baits be seen on FFS? Sounds like they would be great for cruising early season crappie. Thanks for the info.

Yes. I have been catching a lot of fish on Livescope with these. That’s how Harbor caught all of those big suspending red ears too this spring. I had not thought about that for those free ranging crappie in the prespawn. Bet it will crush.

Thanks for your reply. If I’m throwing a bait that expensive, I sure want to see what I’m throwing it at.

For sure. I fish them a lot shallow where I can see the bait. Otherwise I am fishing them where I see fish on scope.

Wow, what an incredible article to be sent to me by a new follower. Had no idea Jason was doing this, never even met Jason. But I’ll tell you this, I’m a big fan of him now 😂

If you were gonna buy one to learn with which one is the easiest for a beginner with these style baits?

My personal favorite right now is the York Casting Nugget. He does drops off of IG. But you can find them in the links on the list I shared. The easiest one to get would be to get the Jig Shack Finesse one. It's like $18 and swims good. It has a rattle in it which I'm not really fond of. But I've caught some nice fish on it already.

I think a creek trip to field test some minis is in order. I bet they would kill those things!

I tried the Era on our trip in 2023 for a little bit. But didn't bring them this year. I won't make that mistake ever again after the day we had on topwaters, I think these will slay in the creeks.

After seeing the creek, which ones do you think would be best suited? I want to order a few but, at those price points, I want to make smart choices. Lol

I hear ya man. I think the Nugget will be the best one for the creeks. And also the Era Baits glide. They are pricey for sure. The Jig Shack one is a bit too big to me for the creek which stinks because it's the easiest to get and only $17.

Such a great read on the Mini Glides. I fished a Fish30Acre multi joint that was maybe 4” years ago. 1.5lb bass nearly ripped the round from my hand. I don’t know if he ever produced it, but he gave me one. I still have it and may need to dust it off.

What’s crazy to me is that I threw a 3/4 ounce spinnerbait and a jig, two lures that have been big fish producers for me for 20 years and I cant get a bite on a tough cold day on a lake. But I pick up a 4 inch glide and like you said I’m having to keep my regular rod tucked to keep from having it jerked away.
